After working with startups for over seven years, our founder, Joshua Poddoku, encountered a scenario that became our foundation.
A founder appeared. Good story. Big market. Investor networks were aligned.
But something felt off.
He delayed communication. Made promises, then stalled. When asked simple questions, he became defensive and insecure.
Instead of trusting the pitch, we quietly did what investors rarely have time for: we back-channeled to past colleagues, analyzed public posts, and traced a trail of broken commitments. What we found was not fraud, but a pattern of avoidance, major psychological and behavioral red flags – and a company with no functional product for years.
